ABOUT US
RB CAMERA CLUB serving Lincoln & District, England.Founded in 1956
RB CAMERA CLUB was inaugurated on 12th July 1956 when employees of RUSTON BUCYRUS LTD.(a large engineering company and major employer in Lincoln) met and formally opened RB camera Club.RBCC came under the umbrella of Ruston Bucyrus Sports Association (RBSA), its stated purpose was "To assist members in obtaining more knowledge of the subject of photography and to generally stimulate interest amongst employees of Ruston Bucyrus Ltd".
Membership was open to non employees, and membership fees were set at 7/6p (37.5p)per year for employees and 16/2p (81p) for outside members.
Now, having reached our 50th Anniversary Year we have seen advances in technology that those who formed the Club back in the 1950s could not possibly have forseen.
Our principals have remained the same, to spread the word to the public at large that photography is fun, to pass on our knowledge and help others further their photograhic skills.
RBCC has moved with the times and has embraced the new digital technology with enthusiasm.
We have Members who are knowledgable in darkroom work, chemical film processing and printing, as well as experts on digital cameras and computer technology. If we do not know the answer your question or problem, we certainly will know someone who does.
RBCC Club Members have the use of an up-to-date digital projector, laptop, colour calibration equipment and sound system, as well as books and magazines that are available
The one thing that RB Camera club has always prided itself on is the warm friendly welcome we extend to all our visitors.
