MAY
LINCOLNSHIRE PHOTOGRAPHIC ASSOCIATION BATTLES – HELD EACH YEAR IN MAY, JUNE, JULY AND FINAL BATTLES IN OCTOBER.
At the November LPA Delegates meeting a draw takes place to decide which clubs will be taking part in each round. Clubs are given a unique personal number and the draw will decide who the 2 other clubs are to participate in round 1, then round 2 and finally round 3. At least 1 round takes place at the ‘home’ club. The External Competition Co-ordinators arrange this event – invite a Judge (agreeable to the other 2 clubs); provide a score sheet; a list of the print and slide entries and a copy of the rules to the Judge, details to the Battles Organiser and score sheets for the audience on the day. The Selection Committee select 9 prints and 9 slides (no more than 3 per author) for the duration of the competition (3 rounds and the final, if appropriate). Details on the reverse of prints and on slides, as other competitions. Only new work will be considered.

Round 1 – Visitors from the other two clubs attend. The Judge gives scores throughout (this can be on the spot judging or the judge can have the prints and slides two weeks before the competition). Results are sent to the current LPA Battles Organiser for collation.
